These calendars are produced by the combined efforts of William Jeffcoate and Peter Cavanagh whose professional careers overlapped despite one of them being based in England and the other in the USA.

 

The joint project on calendars started with a visit by Peter to the Island to watch the flight of choughs and reflects on interests they share in things outside their professional training – as well as, perhaps, an acknowledgment of the force of destiny which emerged from the chance discovery that each had a grandfather who was a grocer based in Nuneaton around the time of the First World War and their fathers were contemporaries at King Edward VI Grammar School in the town.
